Act of Consecration of Syria to Our Lady’s Immaculate Heart…

This is a message sent by Antonia Moffat, who has been in touch with the Archbishop of Damascus, in Syria, where Christians are suffering so much:

Mgr-samir-nassarDear Friends of Our Blessed Mother and Merciful Jesus,

This is a very serious email I am sending you but also one which
carries great HOPE!

The situation in Syria, the Middle East and in many parts of the World
is deteriorating. Humanly speaking we in many of the trouble spots of
the world we are in a ‘hopeless situation’. The situation of unbelief
in Western Europe has had catastrophic Consequences and continues to
do so. Marriage and Family the very foundation of the Family is under
persistent and severe attack. Millions of unborn babies continue to be
slaughter upon the altars of godlessness, selfishness and ignorance.
Our beloved Church is under attacked, our clergy and Bishops and lay
faithful too who try to remain faithful to Christ and the truths he
proclaimed.

Our Lady’s tears around the world are profuse and the suffering of her
sorrowful and immaculate Heart amidst her suffering sons and daughters
is beyond what any of us can fathom. The peoples in Syria are bleeding
daily in anguish of spirit, heart, mind, and body.

Archbishop Samir Nassar, the Archbishop of Damascus has just sent me
the following confirmation re Renewal of his Act of Consecration of
Syria to Our Lady’s Immaculate Heart…

+Samir NASSAR

Thank you dear Antonia for your fidelity and support of our small
communities in difficulty. The Consecration to the Immaculate Heart of
Mary will be renewed on May 26th 2013 in Damascus at 6pm. Pictures and
2000 of the prayer have been printed. +Archbishop Samir Nassar

I am asking you as last time to mobilize an enormous Mountain of
Prayer around the World in support of Archbishop Samir as he prepares
to renew the Act of Consecration Syria to the Immaculate Heart of Mary
which he first carried out in his Cathedral on August 15th 2012 -Feast
of the Assumption.

World Apostolate of Fatima in England and Wales Novena and Presentations

Fatima pilgrims 13 July 2012Dear Friends,

This posting is focusing on Fatima, and particularly on the World Apostolate of Fatima in England and Wales.

The 96th anniversary of the First apparition is on 13 May, so we are asking everyone to join in a Novena to Our Lady of Fatima, for the promotion of the message, particularly in Britain, but also around the world.

The other thing WAF England and Wales are currently promoting are Fatima Presentations, which involve showing a DVD and a PowerPoint Presentation, as a way of encouraging devotion to Our Lady in parishes.

As we are all aware—and for all sorts of reasons—genuine Marian devotion is lacking at the moment in the Church, but particularly in Britain. The atmosphere of secularism which is all around us in the western world is very stifling, and the Church is on the defensive.

But there is a remedy from heaven for all this, and that is living out the Fatima Message, as given by Our Lady to the three little shepherds, Jacinta, Francisco and Lucia, in 1917. She prophesied how the “errors of Russia” would spread throughout the world, and we have seen this both with communism in the past, and now with the materialism and atheism which are so widespread in the West.

Pope John Paul II performed the collegial consecration in 1984, in union with a “moral totality” of the world episcopate, and according to Sr Lucia this was accepted by heaven. The result was the peaceful collapse of communism. But Russia has not yet been converted, and it seems that this isn’t going to happen until the Fatima message is implemented much more widely, and particularly as regards praying the Rosary and the Five First Saturdays devotion. The Pope and the bishops have done their part with the collegial consecration, and now it is up to the priests and laity to do their part.

So, wherever you are in the world, please join in the Novena to Our Lady of Fatima, as found via the link below, starting today, 4 May, and finishing on 12 May, with the particular intention that the work of the World Apostolate of Fatima in England and Wales may flourish, as well as for the more general intention that the Fatima message will spread throughout the world, particularly now that it is reported that Pope Francis has asked the Portuguese Bishops to consecrate his pontificate to Our Lady of Fatima, on 13 May, in Fatima itself. (Obviously, you can also include your own particular intentions)

The other thing you can do, if you live in England or Wales, is to try and arrange for a Fatima Presentation in your parish this summer, during the Year of Faith. PDFs with details of the Presentation, and with Commendations of previous Presentations, are available via the links below. Please consider asking your parish priest if he will host a Presentation, and please also feel free to pass on this message, and its attachments, to as many of your contacts as possible.

At Fatima, on 13 July 1917, Our Lady said: “In the end my Immaculate Heart will triumph … and a period of peace will be granted to the world.” That is a wonderful promise and she backed up her credentials as Queen of Prophets by performing the Miracle of the Sun— predicted 3 months in advance—on 13 October 1917, the greatest public miracle in 2,000 years of Church history.

But that period of peace won’t come until genuine Marian devotion grows and envelops the whole world, so we must do everything we can to promote the Fatima message.

God bless,
Donal
